Long ago and far away, to a land called the “United” States, there came a visitor named Khrushchev. He was impressed by all that he was shown and asked if he could also see where the poor of the land lived. So he was escorted to a lower class area. Again he looked at it and said, “Nyet, I want to see where the poor live.” Puzzled, they finally took him to a slum. He looked at it and repeated his request. But he was told, “This is indeed where the poor live.” His comment was, “It can’t be. Just look at all the TV aerials.” Point made! So as the ballyhoo is coming from all sides prior to this election about how they are aware of and are going to help lower-class problems, I’d like to ask the politician represented, “How much did that suit or dress cost?” Point made? I think so. Oh, by the way, Khrushchev didn’t do any better. My point? Beware of any politico who really has no clue but who is throwing shoes at the other politicos.
