The Friday Night Juanita Market was closing at dusk last Friday. The plum vendor, who had been loading his truck, started yelling and running after man that had stolen his take from the 3-7 p.m. venue. Market customers started screaming “stop him” as well!

Wonderful, slogging joggers in the park turned and started sprinting in direction of the thief, who was hurrying at lightening speed past historic Forbes house toward the tennis courts. I saw at least seven people calling 911. Police came in behind him. The criminal was caught and handcuffed! I’m proud to live in Juanita!
