Congratulations to Juanita Hight School [students and staff]. They have been recognized as a King County Level One Green School.

They have met criteria in waste reduction. The lunchroom trash has been reduced by half as the waste is now being diverted to recycling and composting.

JHS joins several other schools in LWSD as a King County Green School. However, they are the first high school in the district to receive this recognition.
