The 63 points Liberty scored against the Kangaroos ties the record for the most points ever given up in a game in the history of the high school. Redmond defeated Lake Washington 63-42 in 1997.

I graduated from Lake Washington a half century ago and beginning a couple of years ago I’ve been attempting to get season win-loss records for every Kirkland/Lake Washington football team that ever existed. Except for 1940, I pretty much have everything from 1930 to now – dates, opponents, scores, coaches, final league standings, etc. This has been quite an endeavor and I’ve got “a couple hours” invested. But it’s been fun.

In doing the research I’m able to catch tidbits like the one above. Hopefully I’ll never find another like this one. Go Kangaroos!
