I urge you to join me and vote for Kevin Haistings, who is a candidate for state representative in the 45th District. Over the last year, I have seen Haisting’s opponent, Roger Goodman, do his part to increase the budget deficit, and on top of that, he submitted a bill to increase government spending! The reckless spending must stop! My fellow taxpayers and I are currently funding this unsustainable habit, but this simply cannot go on forever at the expense of citizen taxpayers. To make matters worse, Haistings’ incumbent opponent voted to suspend I-960, ignoring the will of voters who elected him. The current Democrat-dominated legislature shows no signs of changing their spending habits unless we elect representatives like Kevin Haistings who will be strong leaders in Olympia.

Haistings is part of the solution to stop this out-of-control spending down in Olympia. He cares deeply about the direction that our state is heading and has stepped up to run against an incumbent who has done his part to add to the enormous deficit. Haistings believes that increasing taxes are only a temporary fix to a permanent problem, and therefore thinks that the answer to our budget deficit lies in crafting a sustainable budget within its current tax rates. Not only is Haistings a well-known and well-respected member of our community, as a member of law enforcement as a police sergeant, but also he will bring new ideas with a fresh voice to Olympia. He will be a strong leader and a strong voice for citizens in Olympia.

As an elected PCO, Precinct Committee Officer, and as a retired chaplain serving with King County Police, I am pleased to endorse Kevin Haistings and urge you, my fellow citizens, to vote for him Nov. 2.
