Why vote for Toby Nixon? Will he be good for Kirkland? So far, he’s been a financial disaster.
The city’s budget will have a greater shortfall of approximately $40 million because of an annexation that must be paid for by everyone in the city including those in the annexation area.
We haven’t seen the actual bill yet but it’s coming.
If Toby is to bring in new businesses, where will they go? Will there be more traffic?
Planning cannot ignore the obvious and it just might be that the annexation area will be forced to develop more commercial and higher residential densities with a road capacity designed to handle new development.
Is that what you want?
Residential annexations do not generate enough income to pay for services that people demand. Are you willing to pay more?
Mr. Nixon has used his credentials to force us to pay more for less. I don’t think we want that to continue.
Bob Style, Kirkland
