Welcome to downtown Kirkland; welcome to Kirkland Uncorked. I am steaming. I got a $45 parking citation for parking behind Heritage Hall along the long grass strip.

I did see signs about trailer parking but there also was car parking and I parked, for the first time ever, with all the other cars. After spending money on Kirkland Uncorked festivities, I returned and found this ticket.

At least 10 other cars had tickets also. I wasn’t maliciously breaking the law. Good job Kirkland for driving away your good citizens; you made a lot of money last weekend.

I cannot imagine how many cars got citations in that parking area during the weekend. I won’t be eating or shopping anytime soon in downtown, which hurts the businesses. I feel sorry for them.
