I’m not expert enough to address whether the George Zimmerman/Trayvon Martin verdict was legally correct but feel confident in saying that if the verdict is correct, the law behind it is morally wrong.

I’m not expert enough to address whether the George Zimmerman/Trayvon Martin verdict was legally correct but feel confident in saying that if the verdict is correct, the law behind it is morally wrong.

It cannot be okay for a person to start an altercation for non-urgent, non-necessary reasons (such as the bias evidenced by Zimmerman’s racial slur, as recorded on a 911 tape), and then to pull a gun and shoot when they start to lose the fight.
