LETTER| Ford supports Komen for the Cure

As a Ford dealer, and a husband of a cancer survivor I couldn’t be more proud of Ford Motor Company’s partnership with Susan G. Komen for the Cure in the fight against breast cancer.

As a Ford dealer, and a husband of a cancer survivor I couldn’t be more proud of Ford Motor Company’s partnership with Susan G. Komen for the Cure in the fight against breast cancer. For the last 15 years, Ford and its dealers have partnered with the foundation to help generate more than $100 million.

The latest chapter in our affiliation is taking place between now and June 1. As part of the Ford Advantage Plan, registering at www.fordcares.com and test driving a Ford, Lincoln or Mercury vehicle will generate a donation in your name to the local Komen affiliate of your choice. What’s more, a purchase under the plan provides payment protection of up to $700 per month for up to 12 months in the unfortunate instance of unemployment.

But, the Ford Advantage Plan means more to me than selling cars. In fact, I’ve pledged to match the donations Ford Motor Company will be making to the Puget Sound Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure because I believe we can find a solution to this disease.

Everyone knows that times are tough. But cancer doesn’t take time off during a recession, and neither can we.
