Nancy Guthrie an inspiration to many in Kirkland

It is with a deeply saddened heart that I inform you that long-time Kirkland Boys & Girls Club Board Member and “Friend to the Club” Nancy Guthrie passed away recently.

It is with a deeply saddened heart that I inform you that long-time Kirkland Boys & Girls Club Board Member and “Friend to the Club” Nancy Guthrie passed away recently. Nancy has been an inspiration to many through her candor, humor, thoughtfulness and friendship. She has meant the world to this club, the City of Kirkland and especially its youth. She assisted with her late husband in building this Kirkland club in 1988. Nancy was a founding member of the Jeremiah Milbank Society. She was a Children’s Champion Award recipient and also joined the Heritage Club last year leaving a large inheritance gift to the Boys & Girls Clubs. She has been and still is a true angel to hundreds of youth. Her name here at the club will live on forever as we will soon be dedicating and renaming our memorial wall to the “Nancy Guthrie Memorial Wall.”
