The Governor and Washington legislators have bypassed, stymied, and limited citizen participation. Senate Bill 5808 was signed into law on April 10.
The City of Kirkland should enact more stringent signage rules in public places.
As a resident of Houghton, I am very grateful to Rocio Vela Fuentes and the Kirkland Reporter (4/2/09) for alerting the public to the recent break-in and burglary of her home in the middle of an April day.
A letter in the April 22 edition suggested that residents in the PAA didn’t know what we might be getting if annexation happens – higher taxes, property rights infringements, etc.
The joyful energy and pride in the Council chambers during the meeting on the Juanita Neighborhood Banner project April 21 was a wonderful example of how a community comes together.
I am currently a high school student and the Juanita pool was where I learned to swim.
I respect Mr. Rosenthal’s right to express his feelings for our government and it’s response to the financial downturn (“Man puzzles over “Our Government,” April 22).
Your last editorial cartoon (April 22) was finally too much for me. It gets so tiresome to see over and over again the twisted vision of liberal fanatics.
