In the debate in Spokane with Dino Rossi, Sen. Murray made reference to how she uses her “clout” to get things done. Clout? Is she delusional or does she just think we are ignorant of how the senate works? She has no clout. She doesn’t even have the respect of her Democrat colleagues in the senate. Murray is 20th in seniority among the 59 Democrats.

The work of the senate all starts in one of 20 committees. Committee chairmen decide what is going to come before their committee. These chairmen are the senators who have the negotiating horsepower. They have clout. They bring home billions (our billions) while she brings home millions. We have invested 18 years in Murray and her own party won’t make her chairman of even a lesser committee. I can live with a liberal Democrat. I’d just like one that can get the job done for Washington State. It’s time to let someone else try to get the job done.
