I am a Kirkland resident and alarmed about the plan to close the pool and gymnasium at our beloved St. Edward State Park. It’s a very valuable community resource used by many thousands of our residents. I personally teach water aerobics to many seniors and by closing the pool you will abandon we who need you most. For us, it’s not just a pool but a place to meet, a place to talk, and a place for building each other up. The plan is to close the pool on Dec. 20.
