Four fabulous women are running for the Kirkland City Council and I want to urge you to vote for this “FAB 4” group: Joan McBride, current council member and tireless community advocate; Doreen Marchione, former CEO of Hopelink, former Redmond Mayor, and current board member of the Kirkland Performance Center; Penny Sweet, founder and president of Celebrate Kirkland, Inc., the non-profit organization responsible for the City of Kirkland’s annual 4th of July celebration and a retired Business Director for Group Health Cooperative; and Amy Walen who has a background in finance and law and who has worked locally in support of the Komen Race for the Cure, Evergreen Hospital, and highway cleanup efforts. These women are the best of the best and I hope you will join me and other men and women in supporting these outstanding women candidates.
