The unique lavender walls in Leslie Amira’s Kirkland home landed her a spot on A&E’s Sell This House over the weekend.
The national network TV came to Kirkland to tape an episode featuring her home, which has been on the market for nearly three months with Coldwell Banker Bain.
“Apparently (A&E) reviewed several home listings online and my lavender caught their eye,” Amira said, noting the color “isn’t appealing to buyers.”
The show contacted Amira’s agent, Gary Penitsch, to determine whether Amira would be open to a redesign.
During the three-day taping, hidden cameras were set up around Amira’s home as prospective buyers came by on Friday to view the Northwest Contemporary house, priced at $839,950 and located at 11212 Northeast 65th St.
Amira watched their comments on tape later that afternoon.
“Oh, it’s so Barney!” Amira said was one of the comments.
On Saturday, the show’s experts spent the day redesigning the home, before bringing back prospective buyers on Sunday after the makeover was complete.
Amira said she hopes her home will sell as she wants to buy a condo in downtown Kirkland.
