Audubon Society hosts a talk with photographer Tim Boyer in Kirkland

The Eastside Audubon Society will present Spring Shorebirds of Washington with Tim Boyer at 7 p.m. on March 23.

Boyer will will cover the 35 shorebirds most likely to be seen during spring migration. The talk will include some identification tips along with information about how and why shorebirds migrate and the best locations to watch them.

Boyer is an award winning nature photographer. His images have been published in many bird and nature magazines, along with selling fine art prints at art festivals around the Pacific Northwest. He is a full-time photographer and a graduate of Seattle Audubon’s Master Birder Program.

He enjoys sharing his knowledge of photography and birds through workshops and presentations and is a shorebird expert teaching classes and leading field trips for several local Audubon Chapters.

The event will be held at the Northlake Unitarian Universalist Church, at 308 4th Ave S. in Kirkland.
