Bill Frisell, Aaron Neville and Arlo Guthrie featured at the Kirkland Performance Center in April

The Kirkland Performance Center (KPC) will have performances of all genres during April, including performers like Bill Frisell, Aaron Neville and Arlo Guthrie.

Frisell, a legendary jazz and blues guitarist and composer will be featured this Friday, April 7. In a career spanning more than 25 years and over 200 recordings, including 25 albums, Frisell is now firmly established as a visionary presence in American music.

Here is a list of the main acts that will grace the KPC stage in April:

Bill Frisell – 8 p.m. April 7

Bill Frisell, a legendary jazz and blues guitarist and composer, comes to KPC for an intimate solo performance.

The 60’s Flashback Show – 8 p.m., April 8 – Sold out

Take a musical trip back to the 60’s from it’s earliest days of the American Bandstand sound through the Beatles, Motown and Psychedelic Rock. This talent-packed show features the area’s best seven-piece horn band and hottest singers in town in a full tribute to a decade that changed the world.

Doktor Kaboom! School Shows – 10 a.m., April 11 and 13 – School groups only

Doktor Kaboom! performs original interactive Science Comedy shows for audiences of all ages. Creatively blending theatre arts with the wonders of scientific exploration, Doktor Kaboom! keeps his crowds riveted with interest and rolling with laughter. Join Kaboom! for a sidesplitting journey of increasingly spectacular (and often successful) science experiments designed to involve, excite, educate, and entertain. This show is currently for school groups only.

Aaron Neville – 8 p.m., April 12 – Sold out

Grammy-award winning, R&B singer Aaron Neville, with his distinct New Orleans sound and unique voice, takes the KPC stage for a soulful performance. He will be performing hits from his newest album My True Story.

Arlo Guthrie – 8 p.m., April 21, – Sold out

Arlo Guthrie was born with a guitar in one hand and a harmonica in the other, in Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York in 1947. He is the eldest son of America’s most beloved singer/writer/philosopher Woody Guthrie and Marjorie Mazia Guthrie, a professional dancer with the Martha Graham Company and founder of The Committee to Combat Huntington’s Disease.

SRO: Michael Jackson – 8 p.m., April 22 – Tickets $40

Seattle Rock Orchestra pays tribute to the King of Pop, performing his greatest dance hits from his multi-platinum albums Off The Wall, Thriller, and Bad, as well as from his years in The Jackson Five.

SRJO: Louis Armstrong – 8 p.m., April 23 – Tickets $49 adult, $47 senior, $15 youth

Seattle Rock Orchestra pays tribute to Louis Armstrong.

SBT: A Little Mermaid – 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m., April 29 – May 7 – Tickets $12

Life underwater isn’t easy for Sirena, a little mermaid who dreams of running and dancing. In this StoryBook version of Anderson’s classic, the audience decides whether Sirena should keep her legs or high-tail it back to sea. All May 7 performances have an ASL interpreter.
