What are the holidays without “A Charlie Brown Christmas” – skating on a frozen pond with Charlie and Linus, decorating Snoopy’s doghouse and finally caroling around a glowing Christmas tree with all your Peanuts friends. This holiday season, the renowned jazz artists of the Eric Mintel Quartet bring “A Charlie Brown Christmas” to life with their popular and widely-loved show “A Jazz Holiday Featuring a Charlie Brown Christmas” at the Kirkland Performance Center on Sunday Dec. 5.

Featuring the jazz music of famed Peanuts composer Vince Guaraldi and iconic images from the film, the Eric Mintel Quartet bring this holiday classic to life with impeccable musical skill and a loving reverence for the Charlie Brown tradition. Families come to enjoy the songs they grew up with and to introduce their children to these favorites as only the Eric Mintel Quartet can perform them.

This special performance will feature a guest appearance by the Holy Family Parish School Children’s Choir—in costume as the characters from “A Charlie Brown Christmas!” This educational program, where local students have the chance to learn from professional musicians, is part of KPC’s Spotlight Arts Education program.

The performance begins at 3 p.m. Dec. 5 at KPC, 350 Kirkland Ave. Tickets are $22-$25. For tickets, visit www.kpcenter.org or call the KPC Box Office at 425-893-9900.
