Three Finn Hill Junior High 8th grade music students have been selected to perform in the Junior All-State Orchestra and band. Justin Ngo, viola, will be playing in the Junior All-State Orchestra. Shelley Waltar, baritone saxophone, and Clark Ellis, trombone, will be in the Junior All-State Band. This is Shelley’s second consecutive year to be chosen for the Junior All-State band. The honor concert will be Saturday, Feb. 19, at the state music educators convention in Bellevue.

Hundreds of students from across the state submitted recorded auditions in order to be considered for this elite group. Being selected from this large group of entries is a great honor. Teachers Kim Merkley, orchestra, and Ron Maier, band, are extremely proud of them.
