Be on the lookout for a new, mobile and free art program at a market near you: the Art Cart.

Geared towards children ages 5 through 16, their families and the young at art, the Art Cart provides hands-on-projects that include drawing, painting and writing. The Art Cart is loaded with art project ideas adaptable to outdoor and indoor spaces, with an emphasis on encouraging observation of art and the natural environment.

The cart will be at the Friday Juanita Market today and the City Hall for All event on Saturday. Visit the Art Cart website for more information on the program and where it will pop up next.

The cart was made by the Kirkland Cultural Arts Commission to support its mission to enrich our community through dynamic art opportunities. The cart will be facilitated by an Arts Commissioner or volunteers.
