This is the 13th anniversary of the “Give the Gift of Peace” campaign and Jacksons Food Stores and its customers have donated a total of $168,361, including the location in Kirkland’s Houghton neighborhood.Customer donations totaled $93,36, while Jackson matched up to $75,000.
Since the inception of the campaign, more than $1.2 million has been raised. The campaign ran from Nov. 23 through Christmas Day. Jacksons sold paper doves in $1, $5 and $10 increments in all of their stores in six states of operation to raise funds for the prevention, education and support for victims of domestic violence and their children, sexual assault survivors, and adolescents experiencing relationship abuse.
During the 2016 campaign in Washington, Jacksons Food Stores and its customers donated a total of $19,421 ($10,770 from customer donations and $8,651 matched by Jacksons).
