University of Portland freshman, Madeline Hansson, was recently inducted into Alpha Lambda Delta (ALD) in recognition of her outstanding academic achievements. Hansson, a Kirkland resident, is a nursing major at the University of Portland and a 2016 Juanita High School graduate.

Eligibility into ALD includes earning a 3.5 or higher GPA for first-semester/first-year students, being in the top 20 percent of their class and being enrolled full-time at an institution that has an active chapter of ALD.

Alpha Lambda Delta is a certified member of the Association of College Honor Societies, which sets standards for national honor society excellence and serves as the only certifying agency for college and university honor societies in the nation.
