The 35th annual Kelsey Creek Farm Fair will offer a technology-free lineup with tractor-pulled wagon rides, pumpkins and farm animals from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 7 at 410 130th Place SE.

Free activities include: live music and dance by Cowboy Buck and Elizabeth; heritage demonstrations by the Eastside Heritage Center; and a critter 4-H. Low-cost activities include a pumpkin patch and decorating, children’s crafts and pony rides.

Free shuttles will run to Kelsey Creek from Bannerwood Sports Park, 1630 132nd Ave. SE and the Wilburton Park and Ride, 720 114th Ave. S.E. to Kelsey Creek Farm. The last shuttle will leave the farm at 4:15 p.m.

Kelsey Creek’s farm roots go back nearly 100 years, when a local family started a dairy farm on the current site of Kelsey Creek in 1921. Over four decades later, the city of Bellevue purchased the land for the park (and the barns there), and Kelsey Creek Farm opened in 1972.

Every year, approximately 5,000 visitors attend the farm fair, which started in 1982 as an old-fashioned holiday arts fair with 200 guests.
