Kindergarten registration for Lake Washington School District residents will begin on Feb. 1 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., and will continue during regular school hours throughout the beginning of the 2018 to 2019 school year.
Children who are five years old on or before Aug. 31 are eligible. Registration will take place at the closest neighborhood school.
While registration will continue throughout the school year and summer, parents are encouraged to register students as soon as possible to ensure balanced class sizes and adequate staff hires in time for the new year.
To register a child for kindergarten, parents must bring proof of residency (such as a purchase/rental agreement or utility bill), proof of the child’s birth date (through items such as a birth certificate or passport), child’s health history (including current immunizations), and emergency contact information.
For children planning on enrolling in one of the two new elementary schools opening between 2018 and 2019, registration will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 7 from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the following locations:
- North Redmond: Redmond Middle School (10055 166th Avenue NE, Redmond, WA 98052)
- Redmond Ridge East: Rosa Parks Elementary (22845 NE Cedar Park Crescent, Redmond, WA 98053)
Parents can visit the Kindergarten Registration page of the LWSD website to watch a video and learn more about the registration process.
