Kirkland Art Walk event kicks off with artists in action on Friday

Visit downtown Kirkland's galleries and enjoy, live music, artist demonstrations and refreshments during the free Kirkland Art Walk, which kicks off from 6-9 p.m. Friday, April 8.

Visit downtown Kirkland’s galleries and enjoy, live music, artist demonstrations and refreshments during the free Kirkland Art Walk, which kicks off from 6-9 p.m. Friday, April 8.

The ongoing event will now be on the second Friday of each month.

Participants for the April 8 Kirkland Art Walk are:

• Howard Mandeville, 120 Park Lane

• Parklane Gallery, 130 Park Lane

• Lakeshore Gallery, 107 Park Lane

• Blaubak Gallery, 168 Lake St.

• Kirkland Art Center, 620 Market St.

• HAS Gallery, Parkplace shopping center next to the cinema

• Merrill Gardens, 201 Kirkland Ave.

Some highlights during the event include the Lakeshore Gallery, which will feature two artists in action: Paula Ensign, plein air oil painter, and Terry Johnson, acrylic painting.

Also, artist Teresa Saia will demonstrate her pastel technique at Howard/Mandville Gallery. Watch the creative process in action and see how she develops her pieces into breathtaking dramatic views of the world.
