The Kirkland Arts Center Gallery may have Gone to the Dogs but, for one weekend only, its going to the cats. The KAC will join in the internet cat video mania with CatVidFest in January.
The KAC will be providing three screening events: 7-10 p.m. on Jan. 3 and 2-5 p.m. and 7-10 p.m. on Jan. 4.
After a first showing at the Walker Arts Center in summer of 2012, the second annual CatVidFest drew a crowd of more than 13,000 people at the Minnesota State Fair last summer.
KAC events will feature special guest Will Braden, creator of YouTube’s popular Henri, le Chat Noir series.
The event will include a screening of the original CatVidFest reel, an interactive presentation and book signing with Will Braden and a chance to see the dynamic Gone to the Dogs exhibition.
Tickets are $25 each and space is limited to 125 people per showing. Ticket price includes admission to the event, light snacks and beverages and a signed 2014 Henri le Chat Noir calendar. Doors open 15 minutes before start time, all ages are welcome and seating will be provided on a first come, first serve basis.
