The Kirkland Choral Society will join Philharmonia Northwest’s 40th anniversary celebration in a gala concert at 2 p.m. on March 19 at Benaroya Hall in Seattle. The grand finale features Beethoven’s immortal 9th Symphony, conducted by Julia Thai, and ending with the magnificent “Ode to Joy.” Works by Alfven, Mendelssohn, and Mozart will also be featured along with guest appearances by the chamber orchestra’s past conductors, Francis Walton and Roupen Shakarian.

Tickets are priced between $20-30.
