The Kirkland Cultural Arts Commission is seeking nominations for the Kirkland Collaboration of Arts, Culture, Heritage, Education and Theatre or CACHET Award by 12 p.m. on Feb. 14. The CACHET Award recognizes a business, organization or individual who exemplifies the spirit of CACHET by fostering a vibrant arts, culture, and/or heritage community in Kirkland.
Nomination forms are available at Kirkland City Hall, 123 5th Ave.; the Kirkland Public Library, 308 Kirkland Ave.; or the Kirkland Chamber of Commerce, 328 Parkplace Center. Digital copies can be downloaded at www.kirklandwa.gov or requested by emailing kirklandcachet@gmail.com. Kirkland Mayor Amy Walen, and the Cultural Arts Commission will reveal recipients during the awards ceremony on April 2 at the Kirkland Performance Center. The event is open to the public and free of charge.
Nominations will be pre-screened by the Kirkland CACHET committee made up of members of the Kirkland Cultural Arts Commission and volunteers. Final award recipients will be selected by the Kirkland Cultural Arts Commission and Walen.
