Opera Preview: Mozart’s The Magic Flute: Mozart, always short of money, badly needed a hit in the autumn of 1791. His Magic Flute, first performed in September, was a huge success. Veteran opera lecturer Norm Hollingshead will explain what makes The Magic Flute such a special opera for our times from 1:30-3 p.m. April 21.
