Kirkland Performance Center (KPC) will host its Second Annual Benefit Concert with Geoffrey Castle at 8 p.m. on Aug. 23.

All proceeds will go directly to support KPC’s 16th season of music, dance, theater, film comedy and family programming, and arts education initiatives.

“The Kirkland Performance Center is a treasure for the Eastside Community that deserves all the support in the world for the work they do here,” said Castle, who is a power violinist and local musician. “I have been producing concerts at KPC for more than a decade and I look forward to playing music in this beautiful theater for many years to come. It is my pleasure to come and perform as part of this special evening. I can’t wait to see all of Kirkland come out to support the cause.”

Castle is joined by Darin Watkins’s on drums, Lennox Holness on bass, Brooke Lizotte on keyboard, Fleurs D’Egypte Belly Dancers and the Seattle Irish Dance Company.

With a fresh approach to traditional Celtic music, Castle brings the electric six-string violin front and center with his unmatched showmanship. A soloist and a bandleader, Castle is well-known for high energy performances and unique collaborations with musicians and dancers that combine Celtic music with rock, pop and jazz—a new sound for the show Castle demonstrates his support for KPC with this benefit concert.
