The seventh annual Kirkland Uncorked event will take place at Marina Park in Kirkland on July 19-21.
“Wine and food aficionados from across the Northwest visit Kirkland to take part in a weekend-long culinary classic that has become an iconic fixture in the epicurean landscape. Kirkland Uncorked features more than 70 wines from award-winning Washington wineries, 15 of the Eastside’s trendsetting chefs, first annual Eastside Burger Brawl and Food Truck Feast, 20 restaurants serving bite-sized feasts, and the Northwest’s most prestigious celebrity chefs and culinary personalities all collaborating on the shores of Lake Washington,” said Andrea Kramer, the festival’s associate director.
Kirkland Uncorked gives attendees firsthand access to all this action by combining an A-list line-up of Washington wineries, celebrity chefs and culinary personalities from across the Puget Sound area, grilling demonstrations highlighting the latest culinary trends, Friday night Burger Brawl and Saturday’s Grilling Competition with the Eastside’s top culinary innovators.
“For seven years, we have created an experience in Kirkland that places wine and food enthusiasts face-to-face with true Puget Sound culinary legends, rockstars, in fact, to many of us,” added Kramer. “Throughout the year we follow the trends, the winemakers and chefs, spirit purveyors and brewmasters who are trailblazing a path filled with innovation, creativity and soul, then bring them to Kirkland for an unforgettable festival. Our line-up this year is no exception and we are honored to host Washington’s best and brightest in Kirkland for foodies across the region to enjoy.”
Throughout the weekend gourmands, (newbie’s to aficionados) can select from a number of ticket packages starting at $25, making this a wine festival accessible to all those interested in celebrating the grape. View the full wine line-up at KirklandUncorked.com/wine.
The weekend has an action-packed schedule that includes celebrity chef cooking demos, wine tasting, a best Eastside burger competition, the grand tasting event, the Grill Off Competition and capping it off with the “Inaugural Food Truck Feast” on Sunday. All this goodness is a huge fundraising benefit for the Hope Heart Institute.
With three full days of unique experiences, Kirkland Uncorked encourages making it into a relaxing and hassle-free weekend with a luxurious stay at one of the city’s distinguished hotels with accommodations and VIP experiences to meet any needs.
