This four-part series aims to broaden what Kirkland residents already know about sustainability through a variety of classes, tours and hands-on workshops.

• The What and Where of Recycling: April 25, 6:30-8:00 p.m., Cascade Recycling Center (Woodinville)

• Home Energy Efficiency and Solar Made Easy! May 2, 6:30-8 p.m., Kirkland City Hall

• Backyard Composting 101: May 9, 6:30-8:30 p.m., Kirkland Public Works Maintenance Center
