Lake Washington Players host fundraiser in Kirkland

The Lake Washington Players will host its "Musical In A Day" benefit using traditional American songs such as "America the Beautiful," "Oh, Susanna," "Give My Regards to Broadway" and "You're A Grand Old Flag" from 6-8 p.m. on Sept. 13.

The Lake Washington Players will host its “Musical In A Day” benefit using traditional American songs such as “America the Beautiful,” “Oh, Susanna,” “Give My Regards to Broadway” and “You’re A Grand Old Flag” from 6-8 p.m. on Sept. 13. The all-volunteer cast and crew will write, script, score, rehearse and produce a complete musical in 24 hours.

Doors will open for a silent auction at 6 p.m., with the performance beginning at 7 p.m. All proceeds from the event will be used to produce the group’s spring 2015 musical.

The event will take place at 232 5th Ave South in Kirkland.
