The following Lake Washington School District (LWSD) students will receive National Merit college-sponsored scholarships:

Hunter Trewin of Lake Washington High School (University of Alabama)

Stephen Fitch, Jr. of Tesla STEM High School (Carleton College)

Martin Randal and Siri Mellem of Redmond High School (Vanderbilt University and St. Olaf College, respectively)

Samantha Moynihan of Eastlake High School (University of Southern California)

Scholarship winners are chosen from finalists in the 2017 National Merit Scholarship program. These awards provide between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study at the institution financing the scholarship.
