On average, women take a more proactive approach in scheduling annual checkups and necessary health screenings. Men however, are typically less likely to take time for their health and don’t always realize the effects of not participating in proper health screenings and how it may affect their loved ones.
The month of June is dedicated to men’s health in order to generate awareness for preventable health problems by encouraging early detection and treatment of diseases among men and boys.
SPT-Kirkland is a proud supporter of men’s health and awareness efforts.
Three ways men can focus on their health:
1. Get checked out — Feeling off? Experiencing pain or discomfort? Visit SPT-Kirkland for a free injury screen in honor of men’s health month.
2. Injury prevention — Stretching and dynamic warm-ups prior to exercise can help prevent or lower the risk of sustaining common injuries (i.e. knee pain, stiff low back, ankle sprains).
3. Exercise — Stay active! Musculoskeletal and cardiovascular health improvements from weight training and running can help lower the risk of developing diabetes, heart disease and can improve overall health.
If you are looking to improve your quality of life by overcoming pain, medications and stress call SPT-Kirkland at (425) 823-1389 to schedule a complimentary injury assessment with us.
