For the sixth year, Kirkland welcomes the Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF) to the Kirkland Performance Center. Recognized as one of the top film festivals in North America, the 40th Seattle International Film Festival brings the world’s greatest films to Kirkland on May, 29 – June 1, 2014. Over four days, see 11 films from Japan, United States, France, Spain, and Poland. Showcased films star celebrated actors Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Banks, Chloë Sevigny, Gillian Anderson, David Arquette, Josh Lucas, and Taylor Kitsch. Documentary films about Stanley Ann Dunham, President Obama’s mother, Aaron Swartz, the founder of Reddit, and a new film from Luc Jacquet, director of March of the Penguins are featured. The Kirkland Performance Center is located at 350 Kirkland Ave.
