Author visit

Suspense mystery writer, Boyd Morrison will discuss and sign copies of his newest book, “Vault,” a fast action thriller that takes the reader on a roller coaster ride of gun-blazing action, fascinating historical references, and a nail-biting battle of wits between international super criminals and an unlikely trio of friends who must solve the puzzle and find the treasure in order to save their families.

Other suspense titles by the author include “Catalyst,” “The Ark” and “Rogue Wave.”

The event happens at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 22.

Instore Knit Too Readers Bookclub

The club will discuss “Little Book,” by Selden Edwards, at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 25. Open to all.

The club will also discuss “Visit From the Good Squad,” by Jennifer Egan, at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 27.

Book Launch Party

Join Parkplace for a book launch party for Karyn King, nature photographer and author of “San Juan Islands and Beyond – A Photographer’s Journey,” a photographic tour of some of the most stunning seascapes and marine wildlife in Western Washington.

Follow nature photographer King as she guides you through the area’s most magnificent and vibrant beauty with over 100 magnificent photos in this coffee table edition of scenic images of Washington. Wonderful gift book.

When 1+1=1 Book Event

Using tango as a metaphor for human relationships, local author and Argentine tango teacher Gabriela Condrea weaves in anecdotes with excerpts from her book “When 1+1=1: That ‘Impossible’ Connection” (with titles such as “High Heels and Yellow Hippopotamuses” and “’Mistakes’ are Just Unanticipated Opportunities”), takes questions, and even spices things up with some fun interactive games.

Come by, partake in the activities, and support Condrea before she takes off for her U.S. book/tango tour and bring friends! All ages welcome. Happens from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 4.
