Between Feb. 3-12, the Kirkland Police Department reported 758 traffic violations (12 DUIs), 45 alarm calls, 26 car accidents, 18 noise complaints, 22 thefts, nine car prowls, 20 domestic violence calls, 11 calls for harassment, 21 acts of fraud, 19 calls of a disturbance, eight calls for illegal substances and 19 calls of civil disturbance. At least 55 people were arrested.

Feb. 10

Domestic: 7:45 p.m., 9900 block of N.E. 132nd Street. A passerby observed what appeared to be several males standing outside of a car assaulting a female in the driver seat. An investigation revealed that an 18-year-old Seattle male and female got into an argument at the Juanita High School basketball game. The woman hit her boyfriend in the face causing his nose to bleed while she was driving. Other passengers made her stop and attempted to make her get out of the car to talk. The woman was arrested for domestic violence.

Feb. 8

Domestic: 8:07 p.m., 11000 block of 122nd Lane N.E. Following an argument about their car, a 31-year-old Kirkland man reported that his wife tore his sweater and punched him in the back and face.

Feb. 6

Domestic violence: 6:22 p.m., 9300 block of N.E. 123rd Court. A 51-year-old Kirkland man was arrested for assault after he hit his nephew in the face with a pack of cigarettes.

Feb. 5

Assault: 2:02 a.m., 100 block of Lake Street S. A 23-year-old Redmond man was arrested after stumbling across Lake Street S. The man was contacted laying in the middle of the Bank of America drive through. The man became confrontational and threw his wallet at officers and lunged at them.

Feb. 4

Domestic: 11:38 a.m., 6400 block of 114th Ave. N.E. A Kirkland man was punched in the face by his roommate after he moved the dish rack away from the stove area. The suspect left the premises but was arrested upon his return.

Domestic violence: 7 p.m., 13100 block of 107th Place N.E. A 39-year-old Kirkland woman reported a domestic dispute with her husband and had several bruises and scratches from the fight.

Feb. 3

Theft: 6:13 p.m., 11200 block of 124th Street. A 53-year-old Seattle man was caught shoplifting from the Totem Lake QFC.

Weapons violation: 9:50 p.m., 8515 124th Ave. N.E. A 32-year-old Everett man displayed a weapon at the McDonald’s restaurant, which caused fear and alarm. The man was arrested for displaying a weapon that could cause bodily harm.

Domestic: 8:04 p.m., 11300 block of N.E. 67th Street. A 15-year-old Kirkland boy was arrested after stabbing his 14-year-old brother with a pen and strangling him.
