More than 20 people attended the first of three “Ask the Experts” Free Brain Health and Parkinson’s Seminars at Aegis Lodge in Kirkland on June 9.
More than 31,500 people in Washington state are living with Parkinson’s Disease.
“Parkinson’s is a very difficult disease to diagnose at first,” said Aegis Living’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Shirley Newell. “It’s a clinical diagnosis. But Muhammed Ali brought a much-needed awareness of Parkinson’s Disease. He took the stigma out of it.”
The next two “Ask the Experts” seminars are at 6 p.m. on June 14 and 16.
