Kirkland firefighters put out a fire at a 12-unit multi-family building on the 14300 block of 124 Ave N.E. Thursday that damaged two units damaged on the third floor.

Kirkland firefighters responded around 2 p.m. to the fire when it started on a balcony on the third floor and spread to the attic. Firefighter crews were able to put it out, but the fire knocked out the power for an additional six units.

The building is located across from the Kingsgate Library.
