Kirkland Interfaith Transitions in Housing (KITH) will participate in Impact Strength and Performance’s 40 charities in 40 weeks challenge this Saturday in an effort to raise money to help for the organization.
Impact Strength and Performance is a relatively new gym based in Bellevue that uses effective movement-based training programs designed to enhance members’ functional movement, which enables anybody to move, perform, and become a more efficient athlete. Its 40 charities in 40 weeks Challenge is an extension of its “Go-Giver” Bootcamps, which are held every Saturday morning as a way to give back to the community.
In an effort to give back to as many local charities as possible, Impact Strength and Performance created the 40 Charities in 40 Week Challenge, where it selects a different local cause or charity each week for 40 weeks and will donate all the proceeds from the bootcamp to the designated organization.
“It’s a win-win opportunity. Not only are people doing something good for their bodies, they’re also doing something good for their community,” said Drew Ragan, co-owner of Impact Strength and Performance and the creator of the 40/40 charity challenge. “We’re so excited that we’ll be able to help support KITH.”
The public is invited to work out with Jennifer Barron, KITH’s executive director, and a group of KITH friends who will be participating in its upcoming Go-Giver Bootcamp. Barron will have an opportunity to talk to all those in attendance about KITH’s work and how people can get involved.
“We’re grateful opportunity to be part of Impact Strength and Performance’s 40 Charities in 40 Weeks Challenge. When community-minded businesses like Impact Strength and Fitness step up to help KITH, they are making an impact for the families and children in KITH housing programs, helping them to meet their unique goals and make the transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency,” Barron said.
The KITH Go-Giver Bootcamp will be held at 9 a.m. on April 27 at Impact Strength and Performance, which is located in Evans Industrial Park at 1508 128th Pl. N.E., Bellevue. Anyone can attend the 45-minute classes for just a $10 donation.
