A local Brazilian grocery and luncheonette was closed Aug. 21 for public safety concerns.

A Loja Brasileira, located at 12557-116th Avenue Northeast, was closed because inspectors said the business was operating without a valid permit, selling food without protection from cross contamination and was experiencing a sewage back-up. It reopened the following day.
