The Juanita High School PTSA will hold an event at 7 p.m. on Jan. 22 at Juanita High School focusing on suicide prevention.
The guest speaker is Karyn Brownson, the Youth Suicide Prevention Program’s Director of Training. She is a social worker and advocate with over 15 years’ experience as a counselor, youth worker, program director and trainer with a variety of youth populations in Washington and New York City. Brownson received her Masters from the Hunter College School of Social Work in 2002. She has worked with the Youth Suicide Prevention Program since September 2012 and lives in south Seattle.
Brownson will present important information for parents of teenagers and have a Q&A time.
