Camp Unity Eastside’s Resource Fair will be April 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lake Washington United Methodist Church.

Agencies on jobs, health, housing, youth activities and gardening will be available and open to all.

Residents of the camp will be there to help set up, assist at agency tables, serve espresso, and keep the restrooms cleaned and stocked for our guests.

The camp needs used computers especially laptops. The camp is also in need of a volunteer skilled in computer repair to help fix some issues with their computers.

In addition to computer help, gas money or gas cards are needed for their upcoming dentist appointments with Dr. Ben Dorantes in Kenmore.

The camp has received a van, funded by a grant, and can transport patients to the dentist, but is still in need of gas funding. Camp Unity accepts donated gas cards or direct donations.

Check donations can be made out to “Camp Unity Eastside,” and may be mailed to Lake Washington United Methodist Church at 7525 132nd Ave. N.E. in Kirkland.
