Kirkland Interfaith Transitions in Housing raised $105,000 at the 7 Hills of Kirkland Bike Ride, a 25 percent increase in proceeds from last year. The event was held May 25 in Kirkland. Approximately 1,500 cyclists participated in this annual ride. Proceeds from this event provide a significant portion of the funding necessary for KITH to help homeless families in Kirkland, Redmond and Bellevue.
“The KITH staff and Board wish to thank everyone who came out to ride and all the volunteers who helped at food stops and provided mechanical support for our riders,” said KITH Executive Director Jan Dickerman. “We also wish to thank our sponsors and donors, who, even in these challenging economic times, stepped up to the plate and helped increase our funding over last year.”
Located in downtown Kirkland, KITH provides programs that house, feed and clothe homeless mothers and their children in Kirkland, Redmond and Bellevue.
