Community celebration and dedication of Cross Kirkland Corridor recreation area

The city of Kirkland will host a community celebration and dedication event on the Cross Kirkland Corridor (CKC) from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 31 near the Google campus in Kirkland.

The city of Kirkland will host a community celebration and dedication event on the Cross Kirkland Corridor (CKC) from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 31 near the Google campus in Kirkland.

An investment of approximately $3 million by Google has resulted in amenities for the public along the CKC. The speaking program begins at 5:15 p.m. at the Moon Viewing Deck in front of the new Google building. The public is invited to check out the basketball court, zip line, sand volley ball court and CrossFit TRX equipment and enjoy music and light refreshments for the whole family.

Experience the only paved part of the CKC, a wide concrete trail and a meandering secondary trail, along with resting and gathering places.
