Construction for the 2012 Emergency Sewer Project has started and all areas are estimated to be complete by the end of May 2012.

The City of Kirkland, along with its contractor, Shoreline Construction of Woodinville, will be installing new sanitary sewer lines on NE 104th St, from 129th Ave NE to 130th Ave NE. in Kirkland.

Work on NE 104th Street has begun and is expected to be complete in April. Work hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday (except holidays).

There may be inconvenience associated with driving through the work zone; traffic control and flagging operations may be in effect. The contractor will be allowed to close the street to through traffic while installing improvements. Immediate residents will be allowed access to their homes, but may experience short delays while the contractor moves equipment to allow access.

Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained throughout the construction process.

Many factors, including weather, could influence the schedule. Be sure to check the city’s website for possible changes or updates at www.kirklandwa.gov (search emergency sewer).
