Construction begins on N.E. 73rd St.

Construction activity began this week to replace the water main along N.E. 73rd St. and 120th Ave. N.E.

The contractor, Freeman Bell Construction, is working with the City of Kirkland to replace the water main. Construction is expected to last approximately two to three months.

Typical hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday-Friday. However, to expedite construction the contractor may start work at 7:30 am at locations where school traffic is not impacted or when school is not in session.

The contractor will be restricting parking along the roadway. No-parking signs will be posted 24 hours in advance of all parking restrictions. During construction, there may be inconvenience associated with driving through the work zone; traffic control and flagging operations will be in effect. Emergency vehicle access will be maintained throughout the construction process.
