Elder Elves program to benefit Kirkland seniors

The professional caregivers at SYNERGY HomeCare of Bellevue are no strangers to the depression and loneliness that seniors often feel during the holidays.

To uplift local seniors, the non-medical home care company will coordinate the 3rd Annual Elder Elves Program with The Gardens at Juanita Bay.

“Elder Elves” is a collaboration between SYNERGY HomeCare of Bellevue and community members.

SYNERGY HomeCare encourages community members to support our elderly on fixed income by remembering them with a small gift through the Elder Elves program.

Holiday shoppers can pick an ornament from the organization’s giving tree located in Bridle Trails Red Apple, 6635 132nd Avenue N. E., Kirkland, buy items on the list and return them unwrapped to the tree location along with the ornament attached by Dec. 21.

Members of the SYNERGY HomeCare Team will collect, wrap and deliver the gifts to The Gardens at Juanita Bay, an established Eastside assisted living community, whose residents are on Medicaid services.

On Christmas Eve, Santa’s “Elder Elves” will be busy delivering these gifts to the residences of seniors living at the Gardens at Juanita Bay during a holiday party.

Upon their return, they will find a personalized gift in their room. They will know that our community has remembered them during the holidays.
