The Recovery Center at EvergreenHealth Monroe recently welcomed an addiction medicine physician Dr. Teresa Jackson to its team of providers.
Dr. Jackson joins the Monroe-based Recovery Center with experience in the treatment of acute withdrawal, and outpatient treatment for opioid use and alcohol use disorders. She specializes in outpatient medication-assisted treatment for substance use disorder with buprenorphine products, such as Suboxone, and naltrexone or Vivitrol. She is board certified in addiction medicine by the American Board of Addiction Medicine.
“As the opioid crisis continues to affect members of Snohomish County and their loved ones, our addiction medicine specialists play a key role in preserving the health of our community, now more than ever before,” said Renee Jensen, EvergreenHealth Monroe’s chief administrative officer. “Dr. Jackson’s hands-on clinical experience and personal, compassionate approach make her an ideal addition to The Recovery Center’s team of addiction medicine experts.”
A recent transplant to the Northwest, Dr. Jackson earned her medical degree at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, followed by her residency at the University of California Medical Center. Dr. Jackson has a passion for using exercise as medicine, and in her free time enjoys activities such as running, cycling, swimming and skiing.
